Tokyo Ghoul 05

Delays brought to you by broken alarms and sleepy Australians.

[YAOI SFX INTENSIFIES] Can he just die already pls. Where was Jesus when the author wrote this horrendous character? Absolutely terrible. His lines are so bad I want to cry. As usual, a few notes after the jump. #RizeBestGirl

Like always, Tsukifaggot Tsukiyama feels the need to unnecessarily litter each episode with various foreign phrases that makes editing his lines a shitty task, more so than it already is.

This week’s notes are for the musically inept and non-italian; that is, maestoso, crescendo, and fortissimo. We decided to leave the terms as is, since he has Beethoven blaring in the background and everything.

Rather than being exclusive only to music, maestoso is also a noun that means ‘majestic’. If placed in a musical context, this would denote a ‘majestic, march-like’ tone. Crescendo describes a gradually increasing intensity/pitch, like a build-up of sorts. Tsukiyama likens Kaneki to a ‘reaching crescendo’, as he arrives with a fortissimo — a very loud sound, basically.

I’ll… uh, let you guys reach your own conclusions on that one.
